Snowpack
Very thin except a few loaded zones just below the ridge. Dug a pit on the lee side of the saddle between pk 12479 and pk 12276 (SE-facing slope). Total depth 55 cm: 0-9 cm facets, 9-38 cm stiff windslab, 38-45 cm weak faceting snow, 45-55 cm windslab. CT12 at 9 cm. When we pulled the block out, the top 17 cm of snow slid easily off (layer 38-45 cm not bonded at all to the windslab).
