Snowpack

The past few storms have had little cumulative affect on the snowpack. We continue to lose volume in the paths. Plenty of snow remains in the shady upper reaches of Lone Tree and Hairpin bowls, but the size of the snowfield is shrinking as is the depth. In the study plot we have lost 10" on the master stake in the past week and it now sits at 27". The snowpack was supportable to boots at pass level with a couple of inches of nice corn on top. No rollerballs, avalanches or other signs of instability observed.
