Weather

Light snow with a few sun holes. 27F and 6 inches new. 24 inches from this storm.

Snowpack

40cms of 4F new snow on a 20cm thick (P) melt freeze crust with obvious dust layer. 1F rounded facets below this. I only dig 20cm below mfc. Snow depth on road varied from 1m to 2.2m. Estimate of average would be around 140cm. This is twice to three times as much snow on the road surface as the same time last season.

Avalanche

No new avalanches, however many small point releases noted in steep rocky areas. Lack of wind with recent storm snow has even steep rocky faces plastered with snow. I would expect widespread small Loose Wet avalanches when the sun comes back out.
