On N aspects of Challenger peak found sections of pencil hard, 30+cm thick surface wind slab. In more sheltered or shady areas, the slab was 5-10cm thick, weak and sitting atop 30-50cm of sugar. Saw spring conditions on S aspects of Adams with plenty of recent wet slides. Aspect: N Elevation: Above treeline
