Snowpack

Observation taken at the "The Front Yard". Probing revealed HS ranging from 170cm-200cm. Dug pit on S.face, 8° slope, @ 11,200 ft. Pit depth of 110cm. We mostly observed strong snow with the exception of two separate facet layers. One layer between 42-22cm and the second from 22cm to the ground. We performed one compression test, the results were CTM 19 RP @ 66cm on .5mm faceting rounds. Profile checklist indicated no interfaces w/ potential for skier triggering. Red flags observed today include moderate winds @ tree line, strong winds at ridge lines with blowing and drifting snow.

Avalanche

Observed one avalanche. SS-N-R1-D1-I. West of backyard at approximately 11,000 near/ treeline. 25-30cm deep crown. 20M wide and ran 50M.
