On an East facing 20 degree slope NTL at 11,100ft with HS 166cm, we observed repeatable resistant planar fractures below melt freeze crusts down 18cm and down 31cm. 2 of our 6 compression tests produced sudden fractures below the melt freeze crust down 18cm.
