Weather
Mix of sun and clouds. Clouds quickly developed in the early afternoon putting natural wet activity to rest. Winds were light out of the SW.
Snowpack
Stout crusts observed on many slopes below-treeline and on slopes above treeline that are affected by the sun. Dry snow still persists on North facing slopes in the alpine. Few signs of insatiability were observed. No natural Wet activity. Springlike skiing on low angle west facing slopes near and below treeline in the afternoon. In general snow did not get as wet as yesterday.
Avalanche
We were able to trigger a Small avalanche on a steep West facing rocky feature near treeline around 2 pm. The avalanche started as wet snow gathered around my skies and pull a bit more snow as it moved downhill. Harmless and easy to avoid, but showing rocks help heat the snow.
