Weather

Mixed weather during day. Clouds, snow, rain, sun. Overall warm. Some winds on ridge that kept snow on ridge tops crusty at times.

Snowpack

Snowpack did not seem to have a significant freeze overnight. Snow very sticky (full of moisture). In many places, melt was bottomless. North aspects did not seem to have any wet slides, but exact qualities of snow pack are unknown as we did not venture on to these slopes in the bowl.

Avalanche

Numerous small wet slides from rock outcroppings, as well as from stepper east facing slopes with angles of 35+ degrees near the top of the bowl. Nothing seen that would have been fatal to a skier unless taken over the cliff band.
