Weather
Blue bird to start, a few clouds drifting northward. Thick cloudbank to the southeast never moved our way. 52 F (11C) at 9:30 at 13,100 feet.
Snowpack
Mix of frozen melt water pools, poly grains and melt freeze crusts. Very solid freeze due to radiational heat loss overnight. It was +5C (41F) when we started climbing at 7 am at about 11,500 ft. About a third of the way up we crossed through an inversion layer and it got much warmer. Upper 200 feet of the line, near 13,100 feet, snowpack was non-supportive and wet, but below about 12,900 feet it was very nice corn skiing.
