Weather

As we skinned up, the wind was howling and as we gained the ridge the winds came predominantly from the NW. As we left, temperatures were dropping and the wind was still strong.

Snowpack

When we parked the snowmobiles, there was 6-8" fresh. There was significant wind loading and cross loading on all aspects. We noticed no signs of instability on the way up. Our party split into two groups and skied two chutes that had 12+" of fresh snow.

Avalanche

Our second lap we skied big chute, and had one skier triggered pocket pull out and run about 50'. The skier skied out the side of it.
