Overcast sky cover, calm winds, and temperatures near 30F.

Snowpack

NNE aspect, 10500 ft. Total HS around 140cm. 50-65cm new snow on top of mixed grains and 3-6 cm depth hoar. This path slid to ground in December.

Avalanche

A belayed ski cut resulted in soft slab R4 D2 running on new/old snow interface. Snow behaved as a energetic slab, not loose dry. Crown approx. 50-75cm. Ran approx. 450ft vertical.
