Weather
At 10am HN24 was in the 13-18cm range, with another 12cm falling onto our snowmobile over the 3hrs we were in the field. Temps were moderate/winter-warm, and it felt like the snow had a lot of moisutre in it as I was much, much more soaked than usual. The top of Aspen Mtn recorded 9.9" between 9am and 4pm with calm-light (SW) winds.
Snowpack
Average HS between 11200' and 10800' on Richmond Ridge on N through E aspects was aprox. 135cm, with a low of 85cm and a high near 150cm. We had one large collapse in an East facing meadow at 1100' after I took off my ski and buried my foot. Other than that we saw very little cracking in the new snow.
Avalanche
AS/c-LS-R1-D1 at 10800' on a NE aspect & repeat offender. The failure was aprox. 10-15cm down and within the storm snow.
