About 3 feet deep to the ground. From the top, about 8 inches of light snow, well bonded to the first layer. About an inch below that layer there was a second less defined layer. Below that was all sugar snow to the ground. The two feet of faceted, sugary snow appeared to be consolidating and getting stronger. Compression test yielded a Q2 sheer on the second strike from the shoulder.
