Large Avalanche in Renshaw

We spotted an unusually large avalanche considering current snowpack conditions, on a north west facing slope from the groomed trail going into Renshaw today. There were no other slabs out in the area that we saw. On our way to Blackwater Meadows we also saw some glide cracks. We dug a snow pit on an east aspect at 1950m in the alpine and found about 35cm of settled snow on top of a crust. We did not get results with our extended column test and probed over 4m of total snowpack.
