NE facing pit: Buried 5mm surface hoar layer down 55cm. CTH21 sudden collapse failure on SH layer. ESE facing pit with 3 crusts clearly visible. November rain crust still present, facets below crust were moist (easy to make snowball), facets above it were less moist (difficult to make snowball). CT hard results on upper most crust ~25cms down, sudden planar failure.
