Weather

Very breezy, but otherwise sunny warm day.

Snowpack

Snow depth 20-60cm below treeline. Surface snow becoming moist, easily making snowballs by 11am. Still very rough in track with willows,rocks, trees and stumps clearly visible. Resolution cliff area still rough surface with new snow melting with sun. Shady slopes held deepest snow cover, which was generally very weak, almost entirely facets and unable to support skis. No results from ECT due to lack of slab.

Avalanche

Noted one bank slip and several avalanches in backcountry along highway. All have been reported to website already. Debris from Graveline avalanche ~20171225 did not make it past the bench below start zone.
