Things got spicy at Hermit just before we gained the tongue of the glacier / flat section before Swiss. Winds were blowing Mod+ with lots of transport - had cracks and the track of the group of 3 15min ahead of us just kept filling conpletely. Called it around 11am due to conditions. Came down Hermit path and observed lots of Na loose dry action - and triggered ourselves a slab that gained significant mass and speed - no involvement. Estimate 2.5 … see pics and avalanche tab for more info.

After calling it due to rapidly building wind slab in the pine at about 2400m at 11am - noticed lots of Na loose dry action and cracking. Bailed as fast as we could down Hermit path. First skier down took shelter by a rock on L hand side of pic for cover and triggered a slab that propagated up about 10-15m and picked up significant speed. No involvement. It was only when we skied down that we saw how long it ran. Right seems to have run Na after group prior to us had bailed and skied down the line as their tracks were covered by debris.
