Crust level 5000

Today we skied the 5000 face off Hudson Bay mountain. The alpine is extensively wind effected and at ridge top the snow is stripped to bare ground in many places. There was a cool breeze and high cloud throughout the day that was keeping the snow cool in the alpine. The snow softened up slightly through the day but the ski conditions remained crusty. Snow started to soften up around treeline and made for some fun turns after skiing crust most of the way down. We observed no new avalanches.
