I can see clearly now

Observations from an AST class on the lower ridge of Fraser peak: Even with only 5cm new from the latest storm, the silky snow over rock hard wind slab gave some decent riding conditions on lee slopes. No signs of instability were observed, and a series of compression tests on a wind-loaded (HS > 3m) lee slope gave only a single resistant planar result on some rounding facets down about 30cm.
