Nice lap down hidden valley couliour, dry loose problem evident, quick cut across top of skiers left side produced sluff entraining top 15 cm and running to mid path in the fan below. Snow sluffing on slopes steeper than 40 degrees. Bed surface hard from previous wind effect or crusty from fluctuating Temps. Decent skiing despite minimal ski pen through hard old surfaces. No wind slab found at TL or below
Weather
Not a lot of weather inputs, winds light and no wind effect found at TL. Cloudy skis, occasional sun. Cold, started at -20 ended day at -15.
Snowpack
Hard old surfaces from wind or temp refreeze below 15 cm of recent snow that is facetting quickly. Not cohesive, no slab properties whatsoever. If steep enough, above 40 degrees, loose snow easily entraining atop hard surfaces and running fast. No deeper instabilities detected.
Avalanche
Cut a convexity releasing the loose top 15cm entraining everything below and running fast. Stopped mid fan below couloir.
