Triggered a size 1 storm slab in couloir feature while skiing across at ridge top. We had already skinned across this feature and triggered the avalanche while skiing back down. Our track was just below ridge crest as there was a cornice on the other side of the ridge. The avalanche failed on a melt freeze crust. It was a whiteout so we couldn’t observe the runout length.
