Snowpack

Did a test pit on a SW aspect to determine reactivity of Nov. 23rd SH. Results are as follows: -CTM16 SP down 35cms on Nov. 23rd SH -ECTN16 down 35cms on Nov. 23rd SH Our tests determined the Nov. 23rd SH to be stubborn in our specific location; however the line we skied had significant surface faceting, hence slab stiffness was low. There was signs of recent avalanche activity in the same drainage in wind-scoured areas, presumably where scouring is causing increased slab stiffness above the Nov. 23rd SH layer.
