Pretty OK day at Pedley Pass today. lots of new snow. touchy out there so we stayed conservative with terrain choices. observed lots of whumpfing that propagated far.

while out we did two compression tests on a north and south-facing slope North Test: HS:103cm CT9 BRK down 20cm CT13 SP at the very bottom of the column South Test: HS:97cm CT6 RP down 15cm CT15 RP down 35 cm CT19 SP down 80cm found 95-120cm at 2300m average depth 105cm

we saw 4 natural avalanches while out today. It probably happened within the last day or two. two of them started right at the top of the treeline and looked like they were fairly deep. The other two were on open steep slopes at treeline and one of them stepped down to the ground. slides were size 1 to 2
