Weather

Warm weather on Saturday turned cloudy and cold with periods of light snow beginning at 1100 today, 3/1. Southwest winds increased and temperatures never warmed. New snow accumulation was minimal.

Snowpack

Traveled on NW-N-E-SE aspects at and below treeline over the last several days. No signs of instability. Warm temperatures at lower elevations produced no new wet snow avalanche activity. Settled powder where the recent winds and sunny skies have not gotten to it.

Avalanche

No recent avalanche activity observed along the highway corridor and in the Weminuche and South San Juan Wilderness areas.
