Weather

Sunny and warm with scattered clouds. Ridgelines were significantly colder than below treeline, with a light westerly breeze. Saw some light snow transport on the ridge I was on.

Snowpack

5 inches of low density new snow in the parking lot. Very consistent across many slopes I traveled on, save for west aspects near ridgelines, where most new snow was transported to east slopes. Some cracking and collapsing on ridgelines, all below the new snow in the previous interface. Around 1300 I noticed snow on south facing slopes was warming enough to easily form a snowball.
