Full season snowpack with about 4” of ice at the bottom from the freeze:thaw of the metal roofing. .
Avalanche
Roof avalanched in the early morning hours before dawn. Snow/ice had crept over the course of the season so there was approximately 3’ of overhanging ice. I heard it fall, woke me from my sleep. When I went out to inspect in the morning, I found there was a casualty- see photos:
