Avalanche

We observed a natural avalanche at 10:31 am as we skied southeast off of Searle pass. We were far from the avalanche and did not trigger it. The avalanche broke at the top of steep section about 600ft wide and ran about 200ft. The avalanche broke to the ground and appeared to initiate at a thin part of the snow pack. The crown was 8-9ft on lookers left and 6ft at right side. The slope was wind loaded and faced S-SSW.
