Pit was dug on the opposite face of where the slide was. It was off to the side of the honey bronzed and very desirable line. Generally even snow density throughout the snowpack, gradual increase in fingers penetration as it got deeper. No very noticeable crusts. Compression test yielded a slab at about 40cm after 10 wirst and 8 elbow taps (pictured). No hoar in the weak layer, we figure it is a poorly bonded storm slab Slope angle was 37 degrees

Triggered on a deep turn. Managed to ski out of it ok. It triggered right as I went near a rock that was poking through the snow, uphill of a convexity in the slope. We misjudged how much sun exposure this aspect had gotten
