A size 2 avalanche ran down highway bowl, it was observed by many skiers in the slack country but no one was caught. We were too far away from the trigger point to know what caused it, but we assumed it was likely a natural avalanche caused by a cornice failure at the ridge line. We noticed a fracture line both at the trigger point and then a second lower down.
