3 recent wind slabs to size 1.5 out of lee ridge features at treeline in Juicy Bowl, N and NW aspects. Failure depth ~50cm. Was able to trigger small wind rolls with skis in an exposed N treeline location that were stubbornly failing down 40-50cm on surface hoar. The surface hoar at this location was approx. 4mm and spotty. The recent freezing rain crust began in forest openings around 1000m and got thicker (5mm) as it extended up to ridgetop. At treeline, this crust was covered by 5cm of recent snow. It was worst on N aspects. Riding was still enjoyable despite the crust.
