Quick report

Steep south-facing slopes had a sun crust from yesterday, so lower angle shaded slopes had the best skiing (especially with the fast faceted surface snow). There was a bit of spotty surface hoar forming, but nothing too big or widespread. We saw a few old crowns from wind slab avalanches in extreme north facing terrain.

Quick pit at treeline on a southeast slope at 2350 m had a pretty solid structure with no notable layers in the top 100 cm. Two notable crusts, one down 100 cm and the other 160 cm, no significant faceting around the crust and no results in 2 compression tests.
