Tutshi Lake remains open. Fresh 4mm surface hoar observed on the surface with the late December surface hoar found buried down 90 up to treeline.

Observations from NE Aspect at 1100m, 28degree slope, open treeline glade. 30cm of settled and wind effected stom snow sits on 60cm of rounded grains (hardness increasing form four finger to pencil. This slabs sits above a layer of well preserved 8mm SH that extends up to at least 1100m. Another 30cm of rounds (pencil hardness) overlies the early December melt-freeze crust and facets now down 120 Snow pack tests: CTM14 resistant planner failure down 30 on decomposing fragments. CTH29 sudden collapse failure down 90 on well surface hoar. ECTN.
