Jan 21-22 alpine and treeline observations in Zymacord/East Ridge area: Surface hoar avg size 10 mm. Near-surface faceting easily skier-triggered as size 0.5 “facetalanches” in the alpine. Wind effects on surface condition have been minor to nil over last few days.
