Weather

I can't remember the last time I saw a cloud. Light breezes at ridgetop. Calm elsewhere.

Snowpack

Traveled on east and northeast-facing slopes near to above treeline. Northeast-facing slopes have a snow depth of about 45 to 60 cm. Although the snowpack is entirely faceted, the mid-pack slab is still one-finger hard, making for supportable travel conditions. The basal layer is comprised of 2 -4 mm depth hoar. East-facing slopes are close to 30 cm in snow depth and very thin. No significant sluffing observed.
