Weather
Cool and mostly calm. Day started off cloud with very light snow and cleared as the afternoon wore on.
Snowpack
Average snow depth around 1m. Wind effect below treeline mainly just produced thin windboard on open areas. Slabs were difficult to find and isolated in the terrain. Large column tests below treeline did not produce results (ECTN 25 down 50cm) even in the isolated areas where there was a thin stiffer midpack slab. The alpine is hammered from recent wind event. Only observed from a distance but looks like P+ slabs now plastered across the landscape. The near treeline transition zone is the most dangerous with more widespread slabs, that aren't quite as stiff and more susceptible to human-triggering.
Avalanche
