Weather
OVC with light snow devolving in the afternoon. Northerly morning winds seems to shift to localized SW winds in the afternoon. Warmer than expected
Snowpack
Mostly blown out near and above treeline. BTL snowpack is shallow and weak with intermittent areas of windboard and stiff pencil hard slabs. Targeted wind loaded roll on a SW aspect BTL showed 100 cms of snow (this depth is an anomaly) with several faceted weak layers with stiff windboard above and below. CT 22 and ECTP 21 both failed at the November facet layer which is still exceptionally weak with an intermittent crust below. There is a buried surface facet layer down 10-20 cms which will pose an additional threat with new snowfall
