Weather
Relatively clear skies and calm winds. Temps climbed to near freezing at Berthoud Pass weather station during the course of the day.
Snowpack
N aspect snowpack consisted of new snow on a generally weak slab on basal facets. See attached snow pit profile for details. At lower elevations, the snow surface on S aspects was starting to get moist with a little bit of glop on the skins.
Avalanche
Several very small loose avalanches on S and E aspects, particularly out of the road banks lower down on the W side of the pass. A few very small dry loose avalanches out of rocks on N aspect along the aqueduct.
