Went back and forth from snowing S2 and broken skies with the sun poking out.
Snowpack
We dug a pit in 88cm snow on a west aspect on a 32 degree slope. Had ECTP SP 24 x 2 failing 50 cm down at crust/facet interfaces. While we felt there was either not enough load or a steep enough slope for this to avalanche, this structure did not inspire confidence. We saw no cracking or felt any collapses in our travels and there is still a lack of natural activity noted, but feel skier triggered avalanches are probable in slopes steeper than 35 degrees.
