Weather

Moderate to heavy snow for most of the day! Light to moderate northwesterly winds near tree line.

Snowpack

10-12 inches (25-30cm) of new low density snow by the end of the day! Travelled on near tree line northeast aspects and observed only minor cracking. Pit in an area unaffected by the wind showed a HS of 125cm and a 55cm mostly fist hard (some 4F near the bottom) slab sitting on large facets to the ground. During column tests the new snow would generally just crumble away underneath the shovel before a fracture initiated. CTM 12 SC down 55cm. ECTP 14 down 70cm (within the large grained facets, no crust present).
