Bluebird and calm, with a cold start to the day with AM temps in the low single digits rising into the mid-teens by mid-day.

Snowpack

Dug a pit on a somewhat protected NE facing slope at 9500 ft that revealed a layer of large and intact surface hoar crystals (6-12mm) mixed with some graupel, down 50cm (20") from the surface. This layer produced easy and clean results in instability tests, as did ski cutting small test slopes.
