Weather
Blue bird morning. Low temp at 10200 ft dropped to 40F. With clear skies overnight had a good surface freeze. Increasing clouds around 11-12. Almost got threatening by around 2 but any lightning threat stayed well east
Snowpack
Melt Freeze. Solid and un-reactive. Nothing surprising for July 4. Overall snow quality was remarkably smooth & buttery given recent rains and it’s July. Generally MFpc grains, some 6-10 mm in size. There was also ‘new’ snow that fell over the past week during the recent storm cycle. June 26-27-28. Surface was fairly dirty. Windy place, though not many bugs on the surface.
