Completed column test at 1021 hrs on a westerly aspect at 2210m at 23 degrees and produced a sudden collapse down 25cm on a surface hoar layer. Suspected to be March 11th surface hoar. Test results repeated both hard. Extended column test produced no results.

Witnessed a size 2 - 2.5 avalanche across the valley on an easterly aspect. Looked to be a natural trigger from snow or cornice falling on a lee slope of 60 degrees or more. Dry and loose characteristics were noticed and was able to see crown.
