**Original objective was Louise Falls but with the first party going up the middle and another three parties at the base, we chose to remove ourselves from the mix. A party that later came over to the Cable Gullies described it as a gong show after even more parties showed up. **When the sun shined on Louise the climbing was described as warm but in the early shade it was mightily cold. It was -19c when we left the car but became more pleasant by midday even in the shade. Relatively no winds. **In the morning the ice was hard and brittle. Most of the ice was dry but the yellow flow right of the main ice was drippy, didnt show many signs of being climbed, and required a bit of a gentler touch halfway up. **When we were gearing up below Louise Falls we chose to avoid the usual cave spot. Hanging ice above potentially threatens the normally sheltered gear up spot.
