Jan 23/24 at Asulkan hut. Stayed below the hut. 30-50cm fist density above 4F mid pack. No wind affect below 2100m. Incredible skiing. Only minor surface sluffing seen. No other avalanche activity witnessed. Area was getting tracked when we left Jan 24pm. Clouds cleared Jan 24 - wind affect visible above 2100. Glaciers still look thin. Dug a profile at 1900m NE aspect open trees moraine feature. 2x CT Mod results down 35 on F - 4F density change. Smooth failure plane but no slab property above. 1x ECTN24 result down 50 on susp. early Jan SH. Similar story, smooth failure plane but no slab property. Lower 40cm to ground various combos of facets.
