Temperatures well above freezing with CLR skies and occasional light northwest wind
Snowpack
On north to northeast-facing slopes below treeline I found a snowpack that was still dry, cold, and winterlike. South to Southeast and even east-facing slopes were markedly different, with wet snow surfaces and wet snow down 15cm or more. Later in the afternoon while I was skinning along the aqueduct back to the truck I was able to find a few spots where northeast-facing slopes were getting a bit moist on the snow surface, though this wasn't a widespread observation.
