In Crowsnest pass today we found sugary facets from the cold snap over a sun crust buried 75 cm under some very stiff wind slab. We dug on top of a slope that avalanched earlier this week and the layer was still looking bad in our tests! Triggering it is slowly becoming harder but if you do...it'll be a big avalanche.
