Chose glacier crest for a mellow tree region neither of us had ridden much, dug pit at 2000 m, west facing on 28 ° slope. Sudden planar results on ctm 14, 35 down and cth22 55 down. Rode down through mellow terrain, not exceeding 32°. Snow quality was great with lots of white room face shots but no sloughs running.
