Dug a pit around 1800m. HS 275cm. 30 degree North facing slope. Went down 165cm which included the early Dec. crust facet combo and performed an extended column compression test. There was a propagating failure 50cm down on Easy 4. This was also observed when skiing on or near steep slopes (small class 1 slides), the top layer was very reactive. I had to use the shovel to pry to get the early Dec. crust facet combo to fail. No instabilities noted on Sunday or Monday (skied the same slope) but surface hoar was starting to grow due to cold and clear nights. Great skiing and skied slopes up to 35 degrees.
