S Slopes we’re what we skied. High temperature was around 25 when we left, sun was working hard. Elevation: 13,000
Snowpack
S Facing snowpack had no obvious signs of instability. With probes it appeared there was a firm (P/K) Melt crust layer 40 cm from surface. Above that was new snow, going from higher density to low. Below 40 cm was gradually harder to press through. no obvious weak layer.
Avalanche
S Aspect 13,000 Feet, on the S face of Hagar Peak. Small wet loose avalanche, did not propagate but did run down the slope about 200 feet. R1 / D1
