Weather
Sunny and hot, with light to moderate SW gusts throughout day. Some minor cloud build-up in the afternoon.
Snowpack
At 10am, E-facing slopes were already wet and becoming slushy. Widespread supportive surfaces out there but crusts on all aspects (except South) were only 10-20cms thick, harboring dry rounding facet below the surface crusts. Dug a hasty hand pit halfway up a W-Facing couloir at 11am, and found free water percolating down and pooling on a crust about 30cms down. Surface meltwater runnels were widespread BTL/NTL, but ATL on shady norths, surfaces were still cold and dry.
Avalanche
Observed a R2-D2 wet slab on a West aspect, ATL that cut loose adjacent to Magnum at the base of a steep rockband, likely ran in the afternoon of 3/24 or 3/25. Also observed a R3-D2.5 wind slab that likely released during the North wind event on 3/23, on a NE aspect ATL.
